Offshore fishing set ups have traditionally used heavy combinations of rods, reels and lines to match the power and size of the target species. This lead to people often associating light game fishing exclusively with smaller species however we find that it’s more accurate to say that light game is used to hook onto more fish that also very frequently Anglers will find the fish to be unexpectedly large. 

The Narrow Stinger was designed to be able to catch large, cunning and sensitive fish that are shy to thicker leaders and larger hooks. This is achieved by shifting a lot of the power to the bottom of the rod to allow the rod to handle a lot of pressure while still maintaining a finesse and responsive tip to work lures and prevent pulled hooks.
