The long-awaited second generation STEEZ A is here. Fully armed with DAIWA’s new HYPERDRIVE DESIGN to elevate the strength & performance of STEEZ even higher. The signature feature of STEEZ A has been further highlighted, a solid aluminium frame now sporting HYPER ARMED HOUSING design. This provides the rigid platform for perfect gear meshing and strength, whilst maintaining a comfortable weight & size for all day use.

HYPER TOUGH DIGIGEAR is installed in STEEZ A for the first time, resulting in a more powerful retrieve and reduced winding effort required under heavy loads. Arguably the signature feature of baitcast reels, the spool of STEEZ A II has also been redeveloped.

A new generation 34mm spool made from ultra-lightweight G1 Duralumin now features MAG-Z BOOST braking technology, a unique two-stage magnetic brake system which has delivered increased casting distance by returning one stage of the braking system mid-flight, reducing brake pressure from when the spool begins to slow until your lure touches the water.

STEEZ A II is kitted out with a 90mm swept handle and larger profile handle knobs making it perfectly suited to the rigors of Australian baitcast use straight out of the box.

MAG Z-BOOST
Magforce Z BOOST braking system was specifically designed to give midweight lures from 10-30gm additional cast distance.

 

 

HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR
HYPERDRIVE Digigear is the next evolution of baitcast gear design, taking Daiwa’s Digigear concept delivering a smoother and stronger reeling sensation with a significant 60% improvement to gear durability.

 

 

 

90MM BC HANDLE
The all-rounder of handle lengths is suited to a variety of applications from finesse to mid to heavy-duty angling.

ATD-DRAG
Daiwa’s Automatic Tournament Drag uses an improved drag grease that exhibits a low viscosity at rest, yet becomes more viscous immediately after drag start up. This reduces initial drag start-up inertia and combined with the structural changes of the ATD Drag System results in a smoother drag from the initial hook up.

 

 

G1 SPOOL
Lighter and faster than traditional spools a G1 duraluminium spool allows for faster spool start-up and slowdown, and improved rotational balance.

MAGSEALED-BEARINGS
MagSeal protection is no longer just for the main shaft and rotor of a reel with MagSealed Ball Bearings providing ultimate protection for the most at risk location such as the engine side plate and line roller.

MAGSEALED-BODY.
Ultimate protection is delivered to the engine room of the reel with a magnetised oil seal located on the main shaft of the reel’s rotor shutting the door to the elements and unwanted intruders. Dust, water, and salt intrusion into the inner workings of a reel are a thing of the past with MagSeal.

 

 

TWS
Daiwa’s revolutionary T-Wing System addresses the issue of traditional line guide/level wind systems constricting line flow by delivering a T-shaped line guide that is larger, wider and less restrictive. TWS allows line to exit freely from the spool with minimal line angle, minimal friction and constriction, thereby reducing line noise and backlash, and delivering more accurate and longer casts.

 

ZERO ADJUSTER
Thanks to the revolutionary SV-Concept, it is no longer necessary to adjust the Mechanical Spool Brake Knob when casting. Perfect Zero Adjuster setting is when the spool shaft is held without side to side spool play. Appropriate brake power adjustment is now fully manageable with only the use of the Magnetic dial.
